Testimonials from some of our clients!

We have been sending our dogs to the Tamworth Boarding Kennels since 1998. We are very happy with the service that is provided by Charlie and her colleagues. They are very interested in the dogs, caring, and kind, non-judgmental and really wanting the dogs experience to be a good one as well as the owners.  Their care of the dogs is fantastic.

Their services include.

  • providing wholesome nutritious meals.
  • extra care of ensuring medication routines.
  • notifying us should either of the dogs are not well and
  • informing us of the action required for the dogs, take the dogs to our vets for us if required,
  • giving the dogs a bath before they return to us
  • Lots of TLC for the animals
  • Good administration

The kennels are extremely clean, and the grass runs for the dogs are huge!! We are extremely happy to recommend the Tamworth Boarding Kennels to anyone that really cares for their dogs/cats and wants the absolute best for them. Their customer focus and service delivery are of an extremely high standard.

This poem is from "Zoe" - a 14.5 yo Belgium Shepherd and her owner......

Granny had to take a trip, that meant leaving me behind So she searched the Tamworth area, a place for me to find Somewhere, where I'd be comfortable, for I live inside you see And discovering that I am a dog, has been a shock to me For at home I sleep beside Gran's chair and at night beside her bed So I feared when they spoke of boarding, I'd be sleeping rough instead.

When Granny has a cuppa, my biscuit's close at hand Outside I follow Pop around, my life is rather grand Lots of pats, hugs and rubs and a back scratch every day Now they tell me I'll be boarding, when Granny's gone away.

I was feeling very nervous when a lass called Jane appeared She helped settle me inside her van, this is better than I'd feared We seemed to drive a long way or that's how it seemed to be For time and distance seem to blur, when your're as old as me.

We turned into a driveway and there before my eyes Were canines running everywhere, in runs of enormous size Jane helps me from her little van, I'm confused and I'm afraid As I'm taken to my quarters, where my special bed is made

I have my water bowl from home and Gran's dressing gown is here With my new puppy foam bed, should I succumb to fear At first I turned my head from food, I'll show them I'm displeased But Charlie said 'you must eat Zoe' and hand fed me on her knees

Morning came and to my surprise, I went outside to my own grassy run Where many other boarding dogs were having lots of fun.

Charlie clipped my toenails, I walked behind without a lead I was loved and treated kindly, the girls saw to my every need.

A few times I thought I heard them say, I'd soon be going home But my stay here was extended, each time Gran was on the phone Then just when I was settled and had the routine down to pat Another surprise came my way and I was pretty chuffed with that

A lovely warm hydro bath and a shampoo if you please It made me feel like royalty and helped my stiff old knees Now I was dry and fluffy, feeling like a Belgium Queen As I walked into my quarters, so fresh and sweet and clean.

Then all my things were gathered, the bowls the beds the gown Charlie said goodbye old girl, you are going back to town Now although I felt excited, a sadness crossed my mind For I'd be saying farewell too, to these friends who'd been so kind.

So should you ever need a temporary home, for your cat or canine pets Send them to Charlie at Tamworth Kennels I guarantee you, no regrets.

Many thanks to Charlie and all your staff at Tamworth Kennels for your care and kindness during my stay.

Love Zoe

Thanks also from Jan......
